A-a-a-, Amadeus

I saw the Oklahoma City Theatre Company’s production of “Amadeus” by Peter Shafer. The play was written before the movie, though most people know it as a film. The film is similar to the play. It was interesting to see the play performed in a minimalist style. The costumes were nice. The performance I saw was actually a dress rehearsal. I like the show but really don’t know if I would ever direct it. It presents many challenges for a director from a staging and pacing standpoint. If you ever get a chance to see the play, it is quite different than most.

  2. I haven’t seen either. I saw the script in the drama room today, so maybe I’ll borrow it now.

  3. Ellease – You should see the movie it is great. It is possibly my favorite movie. Also, I think that script is my copy – I can;t find mine. Check and see if has my name on it. Feel free to borrow it to read.
