Do your drawls hang low?

Did you know that some cities are now considering making it a crime to wear your pants low? The baggy-bottom trend started at prisons who had banned the use of belts on their inmates. I, for one, never understood the fad, and think it pretty much looks silly to have your pants falling down as you walk. I think it might be a bit extreme to outlaw the trend, but I do think people should consider how completely crazy they look. What are your thoughts on baggy bottomed britches?

  1. I think it is very extreme to outlaw a trend. I mean, I don’t like it, but our cities should be debating on more important things. Let’s not retrogress to trivial things.

I can just imagine the protests for pro-baggy pants.

  2. Good points Jonathan – I agree. I had not thought about protests for pro-baggy pants. Perhaps it would be led by local clowns?

  3. I agree, It’s really disgusting to look over and see someone’s butt hanging out but we have more important issues to worry about than peoples stupid over sized pants. However, Jenny and I have discovered that they are why certain guys walk like they have a stick up their but, apparently it’s to keep their pants from falling down.

  4. Way back when this trend first started, my brother and his friends were some of it’s pioneers. One day when I was in high school, one of my brother’s friends came walking through our living room, and his pants just fell right down as he walked. Not a pretty sight– maybe the ban IS a good idea!
