Jet Of Blood

I am currently studying the modern theater topic of surrealism and the avant garde movement that took place in the 20th century theatre and art world. Antonin Artaud, famous for ‘The Theatre of Cruelty,” was a large influence in this movement. He wrote a very disturbing play called Jet Of Blood. After reading the play, I found video excerpts from it on YouTube. Though it is highly disturbing, I thought I would share it – especially as we begin to prepare for Halloween, traditionally a spooky holiday. Watch at your own risk (cue: evil laugh – Brrraa-ha-ha-ha).

  1. Now that was just strange……

  2. I laughed when that woman put her fist in her mouth. That’s what I am going to do next time I scream.

  3. I can’t imagine this would come across the same way by simply reading it. Creepy.
