Prime Time

It’s that time of year when new episodes of our favorite shows make their way back onto the air waves. This season so far, The Office has been one of the only shows I have had time to consume. Ugly Betty is also on our list, but our DVR has been refusing to record it for some reason so we have not been able to keep up with the saga so far. The Office has included some very funny moments this season, including Dwight and Micheal taking gift baskets to former customers in an effort to try to win them back. This week, I particularly liked it when Michael declared bankruptcy, the episode when Micheal ran over Meridith with his car.  And of course, the power point topic is always funny since that’s often a “buzz” topic in education in which I can relate. Over-all I feel the show has been dragging along. In past seasons, the 30 minute episodes have left me wanting for more. This season, the hour long episodes seem to be too long. Even with mild complaints, The Office still ranks high on my list of great shows.  As one of my former students points out: The Office still manages to include some very creative filming techniques – which is in-part what makes this sow great.  As for Ugly Betty. . . I’ll have to take that up with my DVR satellite provider.

  1. I like the hour long slots so far. It’ll come to and end though when Scrubs starts, though.
And Dwight is just hilarious this season.

Didn’t you love it when Michael drove his car into the lake?

  3. Yes I did find that humorous.
