I am currently assistant directing Romeo and Juliet at the University. The AD is an interesting job – it’s kind-of like being the Vice President – not much to do unless the top dog becomes unable to do their job. I am assisting in any way I can, but for someone like me who is used to being in charge, it’s a strange position to be in. My wife, Erin, is going to be playing live music (flute) in various scenes in the play, which is very exciting. It seems like its been a while since we’ve had a chance to work on a project together, so I’m excited about her being involved. The show is coming together very nicely and I think it will be a big success.
