The past few days have been interesting ones for me since we have not been on vacation, but instead have been waiting out Weston’s illness to improve before we leave for the beach again. I am not one who likes to sit around without some sort of project. So this week I have been painting. I first painted the home of one of Erin’s Mom’s friends, and now I am on to painting my parent’s house. I do not particularly enjoy painting, but it is a good way to make some extra money for the summer. As a result, I am sore. I have at least one full day’s work left on my parent’s house.
The project’s both started with power washing the house’s exterior. Next, the paint had to be bought. finally, began painting the first house and was able to finish in 2 days. This is remarkable, considering that painting the exterior of a house is hard work and is usually slow-going. I tend to work fast. This is why I do not work by the hour – I would never make much money since I work quickly. I am not one to drag projects out and dilly-dally.
The paint I am using, I highly recommend. It is carried by Home Depot. It is the BEHR Premium Plus Ultra paint. It was not enough to just call the paint “premium,” it needs a “plus,” and an “ultra” added to it’s prestigious title. The reason this paint is so amazing is that it has primer mixed with it, which means less work and better coverage. It is also protects against damage from sunlight, moisture, stains and dirt; creating a tough Stays Looking New Longer™ finish. It is ideal for use in cold weather climates. So it is a good paint for exteriors.
