Quiznos Quandry

Tonight I had dinner at Quiznos. I ordered a chopped cobb salad, which was very good. My complaints about Quiznos are:

1. It takes a very log time to get your food once you’ve placed the order.

2. The prices are on the high end by the time you buy a drink with your meal.

3. When I have ordered subs in the past (which has only been twice) I have found them too “heavy” with far to many spices and sauces. There is just too much flavor going on to enjoy them.

These three complaints keep me from eating at Quiznos – I only eat there about once a year. The top complaint being the price. Each time I eat there I always feel that I am not getting my money’s worth. I could get more food at a nicer place for the same amount I spend at Quiznos.

  1. Quiznos’ issue is that they have staked out the “high end” of the franchise sandwich market. As such, and reinforced with their advertising, is the requirement for quality to go along with the higher than average cost.

They have failed by various reasons to live up to their end of the deal. We pay the premium price, but don’t get a premium product. At lunch today, I ordered a “Prime Rib on Parmesean” sandwich from my local shop (#515) – it looked good. What I received was a modest allocation of beef and cheese on a squishy, soggy bun. Given the reputation for crispy sandwiches this would seem to be a mortal sin at Quiznos.

With the line going out the door I wasn’t going back to get it replaced. But, there is NO WAY that I’ll be going back for another soggy sandwich.

  2. I agree with you about Quiznoz. It is away to expensive and also takes to long to get your meal. By the time you get it, it is cold and I hate hot “cold” sandwiches.
